Follow on work: After the above vacuum work was finished T. J. Lee (Senior Research Fellow, Royal Obervatory, Edinburgh, working at Culham) took over use of the special cryopumping test rig that had been developed and used for a number of the studies reported above. He published a number of papers concerning the apparent anomaly that had been found in the vapour pressue curve of hydrogen and confirmed the expectation [3 & 7 above] this was due to thermal radiation loading. The following papers have relevance to the above cryopumping studies:
